Have you heard about P1 Security Minimum Baseline Security Standard?
As part of our consultancy service, we provide operators, Network Equipment Manufacturers / Vendors (NEP / NEV), government regulators and security agencies with Minimum Baseline Security Standard (MBSS) for specific Network Elements within 2G, 3G and 4G networks along with more traditional IP and ADSL infrastructure.
MBSS is not a static list of things to check, contrary to common belief (and some vendor practice). MBSS is specific in the context of Telecom Security because of the unique blend of Network Equipment Providers present within a specific operator network.
For example, a HLR with a specific Release of its NMS may be using Sybase instead of Oracle. As a result, the tables used and exposed and the accesses to such tables are a little bit different, opening the possibility for vulnerability in the way NMS accesses its status data.
Our unique capability in MBSS definition is due to our use of our P1 Vulnerability Knowledge Base (VKB) and our MBSS libraries for Network Elements. We cover MML, systems and database configuration for most of the Network Elements within the Core Network, the Charging & BSS systems and the RAN and OSS systems. Our customers use our MBSS documents as configuration templates and compliance checking documentation, enabling both secure provisioning as well as compliance enforcement.
Don’t let security issues ruin your network. P1 Security can help you tackle known vulnerabilities; report abnormal behavior and enforce baseline security standards.
